DMUC Agenda Topic Suggestions

DMUC Agenda Topic Suggestions

The 2019 Data Management Users Conference (DMUC) will be held in Atlanta, GA on July 23 - 25. ASDWA and EPA are soliciting input from the data management community (both state and EPA) on content for our agenda.

Below you can enter topic ideas for the DMUC. Provide enough information so the planners can understand your idea. If you are willing to help present a topic (such as sharing a state developed tool) please indicate that as well - we always encourage states and EPA regions to share any tools they have developed.

As you start to enter a topic, you will be prompted if the topic has already been submitted. You can continue to submit your own topic or comment on the existing topic. In addition to submitting new topics, please review the list of topics that have already been submitted and offer comments. The more input we get on these topics the better the conference will be.

Thanks for your valuable input. If you have any questions please contact Anthony DeRosa (aderosa@asdwa.org).

  5. Preparing for Prime...now

There are activities that primacy agencies can be taking now to better situate themselves for a future transition to Prime, like cleaning up data sets or taking a comprehensive inventory of interfacing applications and their specific data consumption requirements [to direct prioritized development of external APIs].

  6. States Only Working Lunch

We're planning to hold a states-only working lunch session to gather feedback from states. Discussion may inform topics for an open/parking lot discussion with EPA later in the day, or to simply collect outstanding state concerns for discussion.

  8. Community Engagement

The SDWIS Community requested access to the Prime software for review and testing. ASDWA and EPA worked out a process to allow for community-wide review of the software with feedback managed through ASDWA's UserVoice forum. How has this process worked? Are there ways we can improve the process to encourage greater participation?

We've had a lot of shifting around - we should review the current governance, leadership and membership, their areas of responsibility, current tasks and status.
